International Literature Festival Dublin
The International Literature Festival Dublin, founded in 1998, is Ireland’s premier literary event and gathers the finest writers in the world to debate, provoke, delight and enthral.
The annual festival will take place this year from 2oth to 28th May 2017. With readings, discussions, debates, workshops, performance and screenings, the festival creates a hotbed of ideas. Whether it’s the mix of poets, writers of fiction and non-fiction, lyricists, playwrights and screenwriters, ILFDublin brings new faces and house-hold names together in ways that surprise and inspire both adult and family audiences. Guests and audiences celebrate many specially commissioned events in the City of Words.
Dublin City Arts Office has committed in the Arts Plan 2014-2018 to prioritise the development of the festival, in recognition of its unique contribution to literature in the city.
