The Local Festivals Toolkit has been developed by Dublin City Council Arts Office as a resource offering practical advice and support material for local event organisers, arts festival organisers and festival directors.

The toolkit may also be of interest to the wider arts sector, and is designed as separate modules so artists, producers and project managers can benefit from the individual sections most relevant to them. This toolkit includes templates, step-by-step guides and checklists so event organisers and directors can think about what works for the development, effective delivery and legacy of their festival.
The document does not offer specific advice. Festivals should treat the toolkit as a reference document only, and seek professional expertise regarding any specific financial, legal or general queries. The Local Festivals Toolkit has been produced with support from The Arts Council.
