Interesting And Weird At The Same Time (IAWATST) is an exhibition curated by children from Central Model Senior School in Dublin 1 working with The LAB Gallery on the invitation of Art Management Team at the Office of Public Works.
Central Model Senior School have been our longest partner in our VTS journey as we began working with them in 2014 and continue to learn from the students and teachers. IAWTST has been a real highlight of this partnership as it provided a platform to showcase the brilliant students we have been learning so much from and to encourage their journey as cultural leaders through the immense support of the OPW.
Dublin City Arts Office has tested the practice of VTS in its municipal space, The LAB Gallery, with students from local schools. By working in collaboration with children and teachers in local schools within its innovative arts in education programme Project 20/20, we have learnt about how the VTS method responds to artistic, education and community objectives.
