Location 

The LAB is located on Foley Street in Dublin’s Monto area in the City Centre, adjacent to Talbot Street and Amiens Street. 

We are next door to Dance House, and just around the corner from Oonagh Young Gallery and ArtBox on Joyce Street. Foley Street is named after John Henry Foley, the 19th century sculptor, best known for the Daniel O’Connell Monument on O’Connell Street. Joyce Street is named after the writer James Joyce.

Accessibility

The LAB is fully wheelchair accessible. A wheelchair-accessible lift provides access to rehearsal spaces on the second and fourth levels, The LAB Gallery mezzanine on the first floor and the Arts Offices, located on the third and fourth levels. 

Toilets 

There are wheelchair accessible toilets with assistance alarm on all floors. Baby changing facilities are available on the ground floor. 

Social Narrative 

The LAB Gallery has a social narrative to assist neurodiverse visitors. It is available to download as a pdf or read aloud on Soundcloud

Travelling to The LAB

The shortest route from the nearest Luas stop, Busáras, is 210 metres by pavement. Please note this pavement is uneven and may not be suitable for those with reduced mobility. Busáras is 9 minutes from The Point and 18 minutes from Heuston on the Luas Red Line. 

The Luas stop at Connolly Station which is 280 meters by pavement. Connolly Station is 11 minutes from The Point and 19 minutes from Heuston on the Luas Red Line. 

Connolly Station is serviced by trains running to the north and south areas of County Dublin.

From the front steps of Connolly Station, it is 280 metres to The LAB. The Luas also runs from Connolly to Busáras, The LAB’s nearest stop.

The LAB is 550 metres from O’Connell Street, which is served by Dublin Bus Routes 1, 4, 7, 7b, 7d, 9,  8, 11, 13, 14, 16, 29a, 31/a, 31b, 32, 33, 33x, 38, 38a, 38b, 40, 40b, 40d, 41, 41a, 41b, 41c, 41x 42, 43, 44, 46a, 46e, 116, 120, 122, 123, 130, 140 and 747.

Bicycle: 
There are several bicycle racks located on Foley Street. 
The LAB is also served by Dublin Bikes stations on Talbot Street and Deverell Place. See the Dublin Bikes website for more details on how to hire and use the scheme. 

On-street paid parking is available on Foley Street, and also nearby at the Irish Life Mall car park.
