Our use of cookies

This website uses Fathom Analytics to help analyse how users use the site. This analytical tool uses 'cookies', which are text files placed on your computer, to collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour information in an anonymous form. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website  is stored on a private server. This information is then used to evaluate visitors use of the website and to compile statistical reports on website activity for Dublin City Council Arts Office www.dublincityartsoffice.ie.

Dublin City Council will not (and will not allow any third party to) use the statistical analytics tool to track or to collect any personally identifiable information of visitors to our site. Dublin City Council will not link, or seek to link, an IP address with the identity of a computer user. 

Dublin City Council uses cookies to allow accessibility options on the site to function correctly i.e. increasing/decreasing text size or changing the contrast. Cookies are also used to allow users of mobile phones to browse the mobile version of the site.

Image Galleries - Copyright Statement 

Personal Use 

The content of the image galleries may be printed and downloaded on a temporary, non-commercial basis for personal use. Copyright must be acknowledged and content may not be altered. 

Dublin City Council does not own the copyright on all of the content in the Image Galleries. All rights on such material are © the original copyright holders. Items for which the Arts Office does not hold copyright are clearly marked as such. It is the responsibility of the user to contact any external copyright holders for permission to use these images.

Copies of images which are out of copyright, or for which Dublin City Arts Office hold the copyright, can be provided. 

Social Media Use: Sharing of images from the image galleries (and copyright of Dublin City Council) is permitted as long as it is done in the spirit of this copyright notice and Dublin City Arts Office are credited, e.g. "Credit @dublincityartsoffice" (Twitter example) 

Commercial Reproduction 

Those wishing to use the content of any images for commercial purposes should contact artsoffice@dublincity.ie For commercial reproduction of images which are the property of the Dublin City Arts Office, permission should be sought in writing from the:

For commercial reproductions, a fee will be applicable. When applying, please state which photographs are being used and give the precise details of the type of reproduction involved – exhibition, book, magazine, newspaper or other. 

When applying for permission to reproduce images, for which Dublin City Arts Office is not the copyright holder, an undertaking to obtain the appropriate copyright clearance from the copyright holders must be made, in writing, to Dublin City Arts Office artsoffice@dublincity.ie

Privacy (General Data Protection Regulation G.D.P.R.). The purpose for processing your data is to process your application for an Arts Bursary in according with the Arts Act 2003. This information you provide will be assessed by a panel made up of staff of Dublin City Arts Office and external invited arts specialists.  

Your information will be retained for five years if you are granted an award and for one year if not granted an award.
