Opera in the Open presents a sparkling Opera Gala at Fr. Collins Park for Culture Night 2025, bringing the magic of live performance to the heart of the community. This special open-air concert features beloved excerpts from classics such as Carmen, alongside well-known favourites from musical theatre, offering something for both seasoned opera lovers and first-time listeners.

Acclaimed performers Sandra Oman, Simon Morgan, and David Wray will share the stage with exciting emerging talent from TU Dublin Conservatoire, creating an evening of unforgettable music.

The evening will also feature guest performances from exciting artists across Dublin’s cultural landscape including acclaimed local Indian dance troupe Kalaasankya:

  • Kalaasankya – Dublin’s leading Indian classical dance school founded by Meera Ram, presenting the elegance of Bharatanatyam through local young dancers Ashline Lobo, Arya Ramalingam, Lena & Lisette Albin, and Haritha Sudish.
  • Casey Harris – Singer and music teacher, and the 2024 Dublin Rose, bringing heart, humour, and her lifelong love of music to the stage with favourites from film and musical theatre.
     
  • SULT – Multi-award-winning traditional Irish musicians from Dublin’s Northside, fusing deep traditional influences with a unique and soulful style.

Guest performances begin at 16:00, followed by the Opera Gala at 18:00.

Audiences are invited to bring blankets, cushions, or camping chairs, settle into the park, and enjoy a night of music under the open sky.

No booking required.  All ages welcome.
